Our 3 Memorial Foundation is inviting artists and art students to contribute to a powerful memorial art exhibition addressing the impact of domestic violence in Mississippi. This exhibition aims to honor lives lost, amplify survivor voices, and foster community awareness through the transformative power of art.
About the Exhibition
Scheduled for October 1–31, 2025, at The Arts Center of Mississippi in Jackson, Breaking the Silence will feature original works that interpret the theme of confronting and overcoming domestic violence. The opening reception on October 5 will include survivor testimonies, musical performances, and opportunities for community engagement.
Call for Submissions
Organizers are seeking 3 artists or advanced art students to create pieces that reflect on the theme of breaking the silence surrounding domestic violence. Selected artists will receive an honorarium. Their works will be prominently displayed during the exhibition, and they will be featured in promotional materials.
Eligibility
Artists and art students aged 18 and above.
All visual art mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography.
Submission Requirements
Artist statement (max 500 words) explaining interest in the project and interpretation of the theme.
Portfolio of 2–3 relevant works (images or links).
